Es por esto, que siempre es importante estar informado sobre la salud bucal ya que es algo que nos afecta a todos en el día a día. Incluso, mucho si nos referimos al cepillado, es una actividad tan fundamental y habitual que rápidamente puede acarrear efectos negativos si no lo hacemos de la manera correcta.
Pero, ¡No te preocupes! En este artículo te explicaremos todo lo que debes saber sobre el cepillado de dientes y cómo hacerlo de la mejor manera.
Primero, debemos tener en cuenta que un buen cepillo de dientes se traduce en un buen cepillado. Por lo que se debe tener en cuenta el uso de un buen cepillo de dientes que se encuentre en buen estado y limpio. Teniendo en consideración que el cambio de cepillo debe ser cada tres meses o antes si la situación lo amerita.
Además, hay que tener en cuenta que el cepillo manual como el eléctrico sirven de igual manera para el cepillado.
Por otro lado, con relación a la frecuencia del cepillado es recomendable hacerlo después de cada vez que se coma (aproximadamente 3 veces diarias). En el caso de la duración del cepillado de dientes, este debe ser por dos minutos aproximadamente para poder retirar todos los residuos correctamente.

El uso de la pasta de dientes tiene que ser de una manera muy moderada, debido a que si incurrimos en excesos esta generará mucha espuma y no facilitará la limpieza de los dientes. Cepillado de los dientes superiores:
Al iniciar este cepillado de las caras exteriores de los dientes superiores hay que tener en cuenta que hay que abrir un poco la boca. Además, debemos ubicar el cepillo de forma perpendicular a lo que vendría siendo el diente.
Después, procederemos a realizar movimientos como círculos de forma suave para así lograr que las cerdas del cepillo abarquen tanto los dientes como las encías.
En este caso existen dos movimientos para cepillarse los dientes:
El primero se refiere a un movimiento tipo barrido, que se utilizará solo cuando lleguemos a los colmillos haciendo uso del cepillo de dientes en su totalidad. El otro se refiere al uso de movimientos circulares, que se implementará en el resto de los dientes en la que sólo se usará la parte delantera del cepillo de dientes.
En este caso, el movimiento será diferente ya que los dientes se limpiarán por medio de un barrido de forma horizontal.
Una vez finalizada toda la limpieza de los dientes superiores, procedemos a continuar con los inferiores.
En este caso, se utiliza la misma técnica y movimientos que se implementó en los dientes superiores.

Una vez finalizado el cepillado, debemos hacer uso del enjuague bucal. Debido a que este nos ayuda a eliminar bacterias y microorganismos que causan caries.
